Date: 6/21/2025 7:30:00 PM
The joyful spirit of traditional music returns to Nevada City as Alasdair Frasers Sierra Fiddle Camp hosts its sixteenth annual Ceilidh in the Park (ceilidh is prounounced kay-lee, by the way).
Set against the scenic backdrop of Pioneer Park (located at 423 Nimrod Street), this free community concert and fundraiser promises an unforgettable evening of lively music, dynamic dancing, and world-class performances.
Renowned Scottish fiddler and educator Alasdair Fraser, the visionary behind Sierra Fiddle Camp, will lead the evenings festivities. Celebrated as one of the foremost ambassadors of Scottish fiddle music, Fraser brings together an international faculty of top-tier traditional musicians for this week-long camp, culminating in this high-energy public concert.
Small suggested donations will go directly to supporting the Sierra Fiddle Camp, which fosters musical excellence and community through traditional music education.
The 2025 lineup includes some of the most exciting names in traditional and folk music:
